Development of Transport price 2009

The rejection on the 2nd October of the motion “Amstutz” for more investment-security for commercial vehicles brings about negative results. The declassification of the EURO 3-vehicles, which was discussed with Bundesrat Hans-Rudolf Merz, will only apply until the end of 2011.Therefore the norm EURO 3 in the medium HVF-fees will only be applicable until the 31st December 2008, which means that the fees increase by 18 %.

These and other factors will affect transport prices in 2009. Listed below are some of these:
- Increasing of the performance-related Heavy Vehicle Fee (HVF) and the road charge
- Increasing personnel costs
- Investment costs for vehicles and superstructual parts
- Increasing overhead (e. g. servicing and vehicle up-keep)
- Increasing fuel costs
- Obligatory driver education- & advanced training

As a resolt to these facts we are going to raise our net-transport prices per 1 January 2009 by 3%.

Rates 2009
Next to the net-price-increase of 3 % per 1 January 2009 we have to reduce the fuel surcharge by 3 % and directly integrate it into the transportrates.
