Help for Haiti

The need in Haiti is enormous. This emergency leads us trying to do our part in decreasing the disaster with the means we have. Fischer Road Cargo (which also provided a great part of their fleet) asked us if we would provide a semi trailer truck to transport relief supplies for Haiti in the name of the Swiss Red Cross (SRC), which we did.
 
On Thursday 21st January together with the company Fischer Road Cargo we loaded four mega trailers with relief supplies. Among these relief supplies were 464 big family tents, 600 emergency-kitchens, 1000 kerosene lanterns, 1250 tent squares for the provisory fixing of roofs, three-and-a-half tons of medicaments – which Sandoz provided at the last moment – and plenty more.
 
All together made up a total weight of 45 tons and a volume of 300m3. On Friday at 1 p.m. the freight was de-loaded at the airport Liège in Belgium and at the same evening with a Boeing 747 it was flown toSanto Domingo. From there on the relief supplies were brought into the affected region.
